Brody Jones and Landon Davis are two seventh-graders playing for the West Jessamine Middle School basketball team and can’t wait for this year’s season.
The 13-year-olds, who both play the guard position, have high expectations for this year and think that this years team will be pretty good.
“Our defense is like no other, ¨ Jones says. ¨ I love our team, we are family.”
Both players go on to say they love the coaches and wouldn’t trade this team for the world.
“This year will be fun, ¨ Davis said.
There are some changes that COVID-19 has brought about that not everyone is in favor of. One of those is having two teams as opposed to each grade level having a team.
“I think the A and B team idea isn’t very smart,” Jones said.
The season is slated to start in early November.
